Lauren + Alan’s Elegant Chandelier Farms Wedding | Terrell, Texas

Lauren and Alan’s wedding at Chandelier Farms was an unbelievably beautiful day and such a joy to capture.

I’ve photographed and filmed weddings at a lot of venues throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and Chandelier Farms continues to be one of my favorite places to shoot. There’s something about this venue that manages to feel elegant without being overdone. It’s beautiful, simple, and incredibly photogenic.

A Wedding at Chandelier Farms

One of my favorite parts of Chandelier Farms is the gorgeous open-air chapel sitting on the property. Surrounded by the East Texas landscape and open sky, it creates such a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony.

From a photographer and videographer’s perspective, Chandelier Farms is also just an incredibly easy venue to work at. Everything is relatively close together, which means we can move between getting-ready spaces, the ceremony, portraits, and the reception without wasting a huge portion of the couple’s wedding day traveling around the property.

And you can tell that the grounds are cared for.

There are beautiful landscapes throughout the property and plenty of places to take portraits without having to venture far from the celebration. As the sun starts to come down, the property really shines. Those open Texas views and the warm sunset light make it an especially beautiful place for bride-and-groom portraits.

It gives us plenty of variety while still allowing the couple to actually enjoy their wedding instead of disappearing for an hour just to take pictures.

Lauren + Alan’s Wedding Day

Lauren and Alan’s day started with everyone getting ready before we moved into their pre-wedding portraits and a first look between Lauren and her dad.

Their ceremony began at 4:00 p.m., giving us a beautiful transition into cocktail hour and their post-ceremony portraits.

Afterward, everyone came together for the reception, where Lauren and Alan made their grand entrance and went straight into their first dance. The evening continued with dinner, parent dances, speeches, cake cutting, an anniversary dance, and eventually a packed dance floor.

But one of my favorite parts of their timeline came at the very end.

After celebrating with their friends and family all evening, Lauren and Alan shared a private last dance together before heading outside for their sparkler exit.

It was such a great way to end the night.

I also have to give a special shoutout to Stefanie Craig and C & R Events.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Stefanie several times now, and there honestly isn’t a wedding planner I can recommend more highly.

She is attentive, patient, organized, and genuinely loves what she does.

As a wedding photographer and videographer, you notice very quickly when you're working alongside a planner who really cares about the couple and about the people around them. With Stefanie, you can feel it.

There’s a warmth and enthusiasm she brings to the day, but there’s also an incredible attention to detail behind it. She keeps things moving without making the wedding feel rushed, communicates with the vendors, and works incredibly hard behind the scenes so the couple can actually enjoy everything they spent so much time planning.

Lauren and Alan’s wedding was another reminder of why I always enjoy seeing C & R Events on a wedding-day vendor list.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Chandelier Farms

For couples considering Chandelier Farms for their wedding, this is absolutely a venue I recommend.

You have a beautiful ceremony location, gorgeous grounds, plenty of portrait opportunities, and a reception space that still feels connected to everything else happening throughout the day.

For photography and video, that combination is huge.

Instead of spending your wedding day constantly moving from one location to another, we can concentrate on what actually matters: documenting the people, emotions, little moments, and everything happening around you.

Lauren and Alan had an incredible group of people come together to make their wedding happen, and I’m grateful I got to be there to capture it.
